EDMONTON OILERS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES
KEY FUNDING TO TOTAL $1 MILLION THIS YEAR
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation announced their key funding today of $118,837, representing a portion of the $1 million which will be donated this year. The following charitable organizations will benefit from this key funding:
McDougall House Association
Crystal Kids Youth Centre
Kids Kottage Foundation
Paralympic Sports Association
Easter Seals
CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health
Elves Special Needs Society
Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation
“Part of our funding is made possible by the generosity of Oilers fans who participate in our fundraising activities at Oilers hockey games,” said Natalie Minckler, Executive Director of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation. “We’re honoured to support our communities with these significant donations to these charitable organizations who play an important role in the betterment of our communities.”
At Christmas, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation also made donations upwards of $100,000 in support of 21 charitable organizations. These two donations represent $228,837 which has been infused into community initiatives across Oil Country.
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation was created in 2001 to further extend the Oilers legacy of giving back to its fans and communities. Each season the Foundation runs a variety of programs at Oilers games to raise funds which are distributed to local charitable organizations. The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is proud to have a dedicated group of community leaders on their Board of Directors; Board members include Sam Abouhassan, Linda Banister, Michael Bobroff, Denise Carpenter, Colin Eicher, Doug Goss, QC (Chair), Patrick LaForge, Kevin Lowe, Bruno Muller, Terry O’Flynn, Heidi Pisani, Doug Rutherford, Bruce Saville and Natalie Minckler (Executive Director).

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is dedicated to building strong and vibrant communities by contributing its resources and financial support to charitable organizations that serve the residents of Oil Country.
